Boicut Examines Material Objects Left Behind After Apocalypse in These Paintings and Prints

No Kids on the Block 3 - Digital Art by BOICUT

These acrylic paintings and digital art prints are by Austrian artist BOICUT. He says these pieces are “about the apocalypse and questioning the value of things.” Each of these shows objects left behind in a landscape that is now overgrown with vines and weeds.

The No Kids on the Block series of prints show toys such as video game machines, toy cars, and water guns in this post-apocalyptic place. Escapade shows a pool with inflatable balls and rafts, and the Nothing Gold Can Stay series shows a high-heeled shoe and a safe.

I like how the main objects are in bright colours, while the backgrounds are a more neutral mix of greys and earth tones. You can purchase limited edition art prints of these works directly from the artist.
