Meta “Animal Watching Exhibition” Combines Sculpted and Cut Paper Art

Eagle - Animal Watching Exhibition – Sculpture by David Moreno

In this installation, sculptures of three animals with human bodies examine art (featuring other, not anthropomorphic, animals) on the walls of a gallery. The wolf, eagle, and cougar are all dressed in typical, casual clothing such as jeans and hoodies, so they appear human except for their heads. Each painted clay head is extremely detailed and realistic. The 2D art on the walls are made from cut paper. They are mostly monochromatic and each picture is formed by hundreds of curved lines that resemble a looser version of Celtic knotwork. Animal Watching Exhibition features sculptures by David Moreno, from a concept by Max Gärtner.
