Two Lines In My Life – Minimalist Illustrations by Ilya Ioj

2 Lines

Sometimes you don’t need much to explain life and its routine goings on. Sometimes just 2 Lines are enough, as in the case of French artist Ilya Ioj and this series of minimalist illustrations. Here, Ilya captures a number of life’s moments with just 2 cleverly illustrated lines – there’s something very calming about this don’t you think?!

It may remind you of the constant running of life, just like a railway track, or the sense of demarcating between the various phases of existence. This may edge on absurdity for some, but then you need to realise that the artist is not trying to impose his thought on the viewers but encouraging them to think.
