These sketches and drawings by George Azmy are not what I would call “pretty” – in fact, I’d say several are intentionally ugly. The drawings are mostly portraits of people or characters, done in an exaggerated style. The pieces with koi fish and people “flying” over the city of Cairo are my personal favorites, though I can appreciate the line quality in his other drawings. Some of these are done in ink and marker, while others utilize digital techniques. Azmy is from Cairo, Egypt.
