Randy Taylor is an accomplished and well known photographer. During his 40 year career he has photographed some of the most iconic people, places and world events, amassing a portfolio of thousands of images. When Hurricane Sandy hit, the storage unit where he kept his library of work was flooded, damaging pretty much his entire life’s work. In fact he was only able to salvage a few dozen photographs out of an estimated 30,000. Here is a collection of some of the damaged photos he did manage to “save”. As you can see below, despite the devastating damage the photographs are beautiful in their own right. The stories they told before were undoubtedly fascinating – now their meaning takes on a completely different form.
