Eiko Ojala’s Minimalist Advertising Illustration for Intel

Intel Fortune Cookie Ad - Illustration by Eiko Ojala

In these images created for Intel advertisements, everyday objects are drawn using only Intel’s signature blue color, with gradients and shadows to show depth. Small bits of computer circuitry are visible “inside” the objects. The circuit pattern is used for the most important part of the picture – such as the pearl within an oyster, or the fortune in a fortune cookie – to demonstrate the slogan ‘It’s what’s inside that counts.” These minimalist drawings appear as though they could have been cut from paper, but this effect is created digitally.

The illustrator, Eiko Ojala, lives in Estonia, and has also worked with publications such as The New York Times, Wired, and Dwell, and has created book covers for author Jo Nesbo.
