Matt Furie’s Weird And Wonderful Art

graphic art

Really enjoyed browsing through Matt’s portfolio of weird and wonderful art! His illustrations are fun and wacky, but not overtly weird. He says his drawings come from a mix of child-like enchantment and momentary adult situations. In fact Matt describes his work as “children’s book illustrations for adults” combining traditional and modern mark-making for his ripe, cartoon-inspired characters. Last year he was awarded best Visual Artist by the San Francisco Bay Guardian in the 20th annual Goldie awards. He has exhibited extensively in the USA and Europe, his comic book series “Boy’s Club” is published by Buenaventura press. Some of his art prints are available for sale on his Etsy store, and if you’re lucky you just might find some of his funky graphic art t-shirts floating around on the net.

Check out more of his work on his website and tumblr page.
