Tiia Reijonen’s Eerily Beautiful Digital Paintings

Harbinger - Digital Painting by Tiia Reijonen

Tiia Reijonen is a graphic design student at Aalto University, and is from Helsinki, Finland. These amazing digital paintings she produced are incredibly detailed and engrossing. I especially love the fuchsia and golden colours of When Evil Walks Abroad, which is an alternative illustration for the book Jonathan Cabal, The Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard. I also really like the haunting lighting and shadows in (Second) Playdate, which shows a young boy sewing up another boy’s arm with red thread. Norns, a couple of ink illustrations, were inspired by Richard Wagner’s opera Götterdämmerung. All these illustrations are a bit creepy but beautiful at the same time.
