I love the concept behind House of Cardboard, which looks like a drawing brought to life as three-dimensional objects. The work is by Dosshaus, a duo made up of Zoey Taylor and David Connelly. This example of set and prop design has several rooms’ worth of themed objects, all made from cardboard that has been painted with black, white, and grey designs. These photos show Zoey playing a violin, listening to music from a record player, and using a camera — and everything, even her dress and shoes, reflects this simple but whimsical style. It is also an interesting touch for the artists to use an unpainted, brown cardboard (which contrasts with the rest of the rooms) to represent artwork of a guitar on the wall.
