Surfrider Ad Campaign by Carreño and Lestrade

In this advertising campaign for the Surfrider Foundation Europe, photography with only minimal text shows the dangers of not caring for the environment. The images show discarded tires and bottles, but noticeably lack any sea life. The tagline There’s No Such Thing as a Little Marine Pollution is demonstrated visually by showing pieces of trash that appear small above the ocean surface, but are much larger below it. The impact is added to by the natural magnifying effect of the water. Jorge Carreño and Robin de Lestrade are the creative directors of the campaign, for the agency Y&R Paris.
